Good question. Hopefully by now you realise that Analogue Image Limited is the parent company of On8mil and On8mil has been a trading name for us since 2014. So why this site now? Well, it’s pretty straight forward. On8mil does what it does and we love it to bits (obvi) - and this is by no means a rebrand. We thought it would be helpful however, to separate out the two streams of work we are now presented with, now that our motion picture lab is completed and up and running.

On8mil (as its name describes) serves customers shooting lower quantities of movie film that other labs have traditionally treated as an after thought over their longer form work. On8mil is a grass roots filmmaker entity and is designed as a super convenient entry-level platform to buy all of requirements for small format analogue movie making. A one stop shop or ecosystem for small format, short form movie film shoots.

This (Analogue Image Film Lab) website, on the other hand, is designed for filmmakers and production companies who plan to film a little more footage over a defined period of time for a designated production. Anyone can enquire through this site for a price, but the entry level for improved costs (over those seen over at On8mil) is generally 400 foot of film in any format we can handle in the lab (i.e. super 8, 16mm and 35mm) in colour negative (ECN-2) and black and white negative (D96). We also offer colour negative cross-processing for Ektachrome in our ECN-2 bath.
